This historic house was the home of Thomas B. Scott, lumber baron and Merrill’s first mayor. It was built in 1881 and is two story and cross-gabled.

This building might not be offered for free. However, considering that the house is facing demolition, the owner may be open to negotiation. Any purchase price would be in addition to costs for moving the house.

Since 1987, this house has been a museum of the Merrill Historical Society. The location is 804 E. Third St. It is reported to be in excellent condition and has hardwood millwork. For more information, please contact Bob Klessig at 715-536-3926.
