An Arts & Crafts house that is nearly 100-years-old is available for free. This three-bedroom and two-bath house features original woodwork. It was most likely built around the 1920s to 1930s. The house is located on 271 E. Main Street.
The house was previously owned by Teri Hutchinson. However, on July 30th, the City of Greenwood bought the house and little over a half-acre of land for $122,605. Restore Old Town Greenwood is in charge of marketing the house to find a new owner. Wolfe House & Building Movers estimates moving costs of approximately $25,000 with increased costs for farther moves. This estimate does not include additional costs for tree trimming, moving of power lines, excavation, and traffic control. If no one moves the house, it will be demolished by the city at the end of September 2018.
