You can receive $10,000 cash and a free historic home if you move the building to another location. You have a selection from among four available houses. The historic buildings are currently located on land next to the Anaheim High School. This land is slated by the Anaheim Union High School District for the future expansion of the high school campus.

The Five Points Historic District has been involved in the moving and restoration of other homes in the area. One building that has been previously moved includes the flagship Ruby’s Diner. The costs to move each of the four homes and build a new foundation are estimated at $50,000. After relocation, it is estimated that it will cost around $200,000 for repairs. Anyone interested has around five months to move the houses based on the passing of the November 2014 bond issue. Otherwise, the houses will be demolished in preparation for the school’s expansion.
