Applicants are being sought for a new house that is still in the process of being built in South Mississippi. It is a three bedroom, two bath home with 1,100 square feet of space.

A Florida couple, Kathryn and Crockey Peterson, have spent more than $70,000 on its construction. Mike Hood has also helped by donating cabinets. The Petersons plan to donate the home, along with new furnishings, to a family with losses due to Hurricane Katrina. They are aiming to find the right family by the end of January 2008 to move into the home located on Bonner Drive in East Biloxi. Applications are available at Biloxi City Hall. The selected family must meet the application criteria and pay taxes and insurance on the building.
